Learning How To Live With A Grass Allergy |

If you have a grass allergy, you need to learn how to live with a grass allergy in order to enjoy walking outdoors or sitting in your garden. A grass allergy is not so simple to understand. You might have an allergy to the smell of new grass or you might have an allergy to touching the grass. If your allergy is from grass touching your skin, it should be simple, do not touch the grass. If you are of course a small child, this might become difficult. In these cases, your doctor might recommend a shot to protect the child and still allow them to play outside without problems. If you have an airborne allergy to grasses, you might try staying away from the grasses that promote allergies. There are over one thousand varieties of grass but only a few causes a grass allergy. When you are learning how to live with a grass allergy, you should stay away from Timothy grass, sweet venal and orchard grasses, Johnson and Kentucky bluegrass and Bermuda grass. If you have an allergy to mold, you want to avoid straw and hay as well. You might also need to use some type of home remedy to ward off an allergy attack. If you have allergies to grass, you can use some preventive measures to live with a grass allergy. You might decide to wear a mask if you mow your grass as well as keep your grass short. If you want to have grass cover, use something that has less pollen producing abilities and do not go outdoors between the hours of five in the morning until around ten o’clock. You can also use air-conditioning in your car and your home to keep out the pollen. The worst thing you could do is to use window fans, which blow the pollen into the home. Treatments such as home remedies for allergies will work as long as you start them early. If you choose a home remedy, you need to start the treatment as much as a month ahead of time. Keep in mind that if you have pets such as a dog and think you have canine allergies, you might be allergic to the grass pollen that settles in the dog’s fur when they are outside. In this case, you need to find a way to remove the grass pollen from the dog. This could become quiet an ordeal. |
